Experience

Tim undertakes primarily rating valuation advice on behalf of Maple Leaf’s shopping centre clients and has undertaken major appeals including challenging the basis of assessment of the car parks at one of the centres which resulted in substantial rate savings.

Tim is an experienced Arbitrator and Expert Witness in commercial property Landlord and Tenant issues. He is also experienced in presenting cases before the Valuation Tribunal in rating appeals.

Tim joined Bayleys Chartered Surveyors in Cheltenham in 1968 and became a Partner. In 1995 Bayleys merged with the National Practice of Donaldsons and he became a Partner in Bayley Donaldsons. Since 2000 he has been a Consultant providing rating valuation and landlord and tenant advice in respect of commercial property.

He acts for major property owners and occupiers on a national basis including Barclays Bank Plc, Zurich Financial Services, Home Office, Ministry of Justice, Computershare Services Plc, McKinsey & Co Inc, Universities, Public Schools and Colleges.

Tim is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
